Difference Potential Method for Calculating Plane Viscous Incompressible Fluid Flow in Term of Primitive Variables

V. S. Ryaben’kii, V. A. Torgashev
Abstract: In the paper an algorithm for numerical solving nonsteady plane internal incompressible flow, governing by the Navier-Stokes equations in terms of velocity-pressure, is presented. Its foundation is the difference potential method (DPM), in this case it is sufficiently effective, because of first, the solution of the difference problem in the upper time layer is calculated without iterations process, and second, due to nonlocal computations of boundary values we succeeded in the descent of the stability time step limitation: t=O(h). The application sphere of this method is range of small and moderate Reynolds numbers: Re<1000.
