The Problem about Velocity Skin-Layer and Quasimonotone Finite-Element Scheme for its Numerical Simulation

Abstract: The work is dedicated to development of numerical algorithm for simulation of electrodynamical acceleration process of conducting macrobodies in accelerator of railgun type in two-dimensional case. The numerical model of such process has been constructed. It is based on finite element method and corresponds to conditions of full conservativeness and quasimonotonisity. It enables to simulate acceleration process of armature with arbitrary shape and also mutual friction and heating of conductors, melting and evaporation of armature. The results of some calculations are presented.
