Abstract: Background. The theory of the fluid flows in porous media has been investigated extensively at the last time due to its vast applications in the technological processes and natural phenomena. The purpose of this paper is to determine the drag forces acting on the translational-oscillatory moving porous sphere in a viscous fluid and the drag forces moment on the surface of the porous sphere moving in the rotational-oscillatory motion. Materials and methods. For problem solving the methods of mathematical physics, vector analysis and also numerical methods had been used. Taking into account the axial symmetry the problems was solved with spherical coordinate system using. Results. The drag forces and drag forces moment acting on the porous sphere that moving in a viscos fluid were found with using the Brinkman model. Conclusions. It was shown that the drag forces and drag forces moments in the cases of the porous body and impermeable one differs considerable.
