On the existence of Euclidean structure on the figure eight knot with a bridge

Abstract: In the present paper the basic geometrical invariants are investigated for the cone-manifold whose underlying space is the three dimensional sphere and the singular set is formed by the figure eight knot with a bridge. The existence of Euclidean structure on the manifold under consideration is established. The volume and the lengths of its singular geodesics are calculated.
