Thermodynamic properties of ruthenium and osmium

Abstract:
The temperature dependences of the thermal expansion coefficients, bulk moduli, and specific heat $C_V$ of ruthenium and osmium are calculated in the temperature range from room temperature to the melting temperature. The calculations are based on the available data on the caloric properties of ruthenium and osmium, as well as on the high-temperature measurements of the thermal expansion of these metals previously performed by the author. The calculated values are compared with the experimental data presented in the literature.
