Thermophysical Properties of Materials

Properties of a substance in the critical region (Theory and experiment)

I. I. Novikov

A. Baikov Institute of Metallurgy and Materials Science, Russian Academy of Sciences
Abstract: Based on Gibbs' concepts of the critical state, the thermal, caloric, and kinetic properties of a substance are treated at the critical point and in the critical region. It is demonstrated that the theoretical conclusions are in full agreement with the experimental data.
