Abstract:
A detailed theoretical analysis is presented and grounds are given for the type of differential technique proposed by the authors for measuring the thermal-conductivity coefficient of gases and vapors to $2500$ degree K. Possible errors and the introduction of required corrections are discussed. The thermal-conductivity coefficients of $\rm Ne{,}\,\rm Ar{,}\,\rm Kr$, and $\rm Xe$ are measured in the interval between $1100$ degree K and $2200$ degree K.
