Influence of eccentricity on the hydrodynamic characteristics of annular ducts

Abstract: The steady-state fluid flow parameters and coefficients are studied. It is shown that elementary approximate solutions of problems relating to the wall tangential stress profiles and viscous friction coefficients in eccentric annular ducts are as serviceable as the more cumbersome “exact” solutions. Simple expressions are recommended for engineering calcualtions.
