A one-day meeting during which Valentin Schechtman's students, colleagues, and friends will present their recent work inspired by his research and interests. The final part of the conference will consist of four review talks intended for a general mathematics audience and given by Lev Beklemishev, Nikolay Vereschagin, Alexander Shen, and Valentin Schechtman.
