Biography

Askar Tuganbaev graduated with honors from the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics of Moscow State University in 1975, graduated from the postgraduate course of the same faculty in 1978, defended his Ph.D. thesis at the same faculty in 1978, and defended his dissertation of Doctor of Science at the same faculty in 1990. Author of 24 monographs, of which 13 were published in Russia and 11 in the EU: one at Springer, one at Cambridge University Press, one at Oxford University Press, three at Springer Netherlands (Kluwer), four at Walter de Gruyter, one in CRC Press (Gordon and Breach). Member of the editorial ñouncil of the journal Vestnik of Tomsk State University, Mathematics and Mechanics, member of the editorial boards of the journals "Mathematics (MDPI)", "Fundamental and Applied Mathematics" and "Mathematics and theoretical computer science". Askar Tuganbaev is a scientific advisor to two doctors of physical and mathematical sciences.
