Local holomorphic solutions of soliton equations

We consider soliton equations involving only first-order derivatives with respect to the time variable (examples: KdV, NLS and many others), describe all possible envelopes of meromorphy (over $\mathbb C^2$) of their local holomorphic solutions, and state conjectures aiming towards describing the envelopes of holomorphy.
