On isomorphic embeddings of partial orders in the Rudin–Keisler order: Old and new results

We begin the talk by reviewing classical results in this area, focusing on which of them can be proved in $\mathsf{ZFC}$ and which require additional assumptions. We then discuss the most recent results obtained in $\mathsf{ZFC}$ alone.
