Quadratic differentials and ergodicity of billiard flows

Abstract:
In this talk, we talk about quadratic differentials on Riemann surfaces and its properties. Especially, we talk about dynamics of horizontal and vertical flows of quadratic differentials also explain relation between quadratic differentials on a Riemann surface and Billiard flow on a rational polygon.
