Solvability of nonlinear algebraic and integral equations in the theory of Gibbs measures (presentation of Ph.D.-thesis)

In this dissertation, by using positive fixed points of Hammerstein integral operator, the existence and uniqueness of Gibbs measures for models with continuum set of spin values on a Cayley tree are investigated. In addition, we give some models in which a phase transition occurs.
