Damped nonlinear wave equations: attractors and global stability

The talk is devoted to the problem of the existence of global attractors of semigroups generated by initial-boundary value problems for nonlinear damped wave equations and stabilization of solutions of the initial-boundary value problem for strongly damped nonlinear wave equation, KdV-Burgers equation and related nonlinear dissipative partial differential equations.
