Density of sums of shifts of a single function for the action of a compact group

Is there a function on a two-dimensional sphere such that the sums of its compositions with all possible rotations of the sphere can uniformly approximate any continuous function with zero mean? A positive answer to this question follows from the general theorems that will be discussed in the report.
