Smooth subharmonic extensions of Runge and Walsh types on open Riemann surfaces

Abstract:
In this report the results of recent joint work of A. Boivin (Canada), P.M. Gauthier (Canada) and P.V. Paramonov on the indicated topics are discussed. The Runge setting is studied completely for all smoothness parameters. For the Walsh setting several precise sufficient conditions for possibility of the extension are obtained.
