[Quantum Probabilistic Interpretation and Quaternion Matrices]

Аннотация:
We describe the theory, which shapes a probabilistic (statistical)
interpretation of quantum mechanics in terms of quaternion matrices. Upon introducing the
notion of a quaternionic density matrix, we define the expressions for calculating the observed
means and entropy of a quantum system.
The difference between quaternion and complex matrices is that the former are not linear
operators. This fact forces us to rebuild the theory of quaternionic matrix operators and to show
that all the basic theorems related to complex matrices are held, with some reservations. The
constructed theory of quaternionic matrix operators also presents interest from a purely
mathematical point of view, regardless of its application in quantum mechanics.
