In this talk, I consider an $\alpha^{\prime}$ corrected Reissner-Nordström AdS black hole to study thermodynamics. I present the $P-V$ criticality and thermodynamical stability of black hole. I discuss a first-order phase transition which may be interpreted as the large/small black hole phase transition. Then, I discuss about a van der Waals behavior and critical points. Finally, I conclude quantum work which is used to resolve the information loss paradox.
