On the structure of InSb nanowires in the channels of chrysotile asbestos

Abstract:
The crystal structure of ultrathin InSb nanowires fabricated by an injection of the molten semiconductor into the channels of chrysotile asbestos is studied. It is shown that the nanowire structure is polycrystalline. The average crystallite size is comparable to the nanowire diameter and corresponds to 4.4 nm.
