On the generating relations for spin and parafield algebras

Abstract: The direct method proposed by one of the authors to complete the algorithm first proposed by Bhabha is used to obtain the commutation relations of the algebras of spin 1/2, 1, and 3/2 and of the parafield algebras of orders 2 and 3. By means of this method, the procedure for obtaining commutation relations is rendered almost trivial. Further, use of the method suggested by Madhavarao shows that Kamefuchi and Takahashi obtained only some of the generating relations for the parafield algebra of order 3.
