Geometric quantization

I introduce the notion of a "Geometric quantization" of a compact symplectic manifold X and explain its relation with almost complex structures on X. As a part of the study of geometric quantizations of $S^2$ we formulated and proved a result on almost representations of the Lie algebra $sl_2$.
